The CDS™ Process

Once a company is cleared to work with The Department of Differentiation, they are taken through four distinct phases: 

Assessment

Initial work focuses on identifying the  problem(s) to be solved, assessing the situation, and developing a customized CDS™ project plan and timeline.

Research and Preparation

DifferentiAgents conduct interviews, research the industry and competitive landscape, and gather internal documentation. Analysis leads to a customized in-person Internal Investigation.

Internal Investigation Day 1

DifferentiAgents dig deep into the DNA of a company, including current offerings, culture, and values. They evaluate current positioning, the competitive landscape, and competitor positioning.

Internal Investigation Day 2

DifferentiAgents frame and focus the business through the CDS™ framework. Participants are exposed to significant whiteboarding, stickies, and Sharpies. Differentiation models and opportunities are generated, explored, and interrogated.

Debrief

Post Internal Investigation, a CDS™ Debrief is conducted to review the findings and post-session insights.

Highly Classified Report™

Delivery of a Highly Classified Report detailing all aspects of the customized and unique Differentiation Strategy. Includes Positioning Graph, Action Plan and Roadmap.

CDS™ Implementation

When implementing CDS™, clients may continue to engage the Department of Differentiation for further support. We help bridge the “Strategy-Execution Gap” as it relates to launch, messaging and engagement of your customers and teams.
